Actions

The Actions section lets you configure specific commands that can be executed by Pharmadigital players in response to events or interactions.

Create a New Action​

  1. Click the Actions (lightning icon) → Create button from the main menu.
  2. Access the configuration screen.
  3. First step: choose the type of action among those available.

Example:

  • Turn on / off the HDMI output of the device

    Note: this feature is only supported on BrightSign devices.

Parameter Configuration​

Once the action is selected, customizable parameters are shown, which vary based on the type chosen.

These parameters are described in detail in the Interactivity section.

Insert into Channels​

Each action can be inserted into a channel, exactly like a media resource (image, video, web page, etc.).
In this way, the action becomes part of the content schedule and is executed according to the defined programming.

Operational Notes​

  • The actions available depend on the device model used.
  • Some advanced features (such as direct hardware control) are only available on specific platforms (e.g., BrightSign).
  • Actions can be triggered:
    • within a channel and executed in a schedule,
    • as part of interactivity scenarios,
    • or combined with scheduled events.
