Create a Channel

A channel is a container of content (images, videos, web pages, texts, social messages, etc.) that you can assign to one or more screen zones (e.g., main, sidebar, footer, background), defined in the Layout.

You can think of the channel as a playlist, similar to a TV schedule, with a programming of content that you can assign to one or more zones of your player.

Create a New Channel​

  1. Click on the Channels menu item and select Create.
  2. Enter a name and choose a color for the channel.

Configuration Screen Structure​

The central screen is divided into three main sections:

  • Resources → indicates the content (images, videos, texts, web pages, etc.) to insert in the channel.
  • SocialMedia → indicates the social feeds to integrate into the channel.
  • Players → indicates the players to associate with the channel.

On the right column you’ll see:

  • Chosen color
  • Publication (default set to Yes, so the channel is immediately visible)
  • Schedule (default set to No, so the channel has no scheduling and is active right away)
  • Tags
  • Additional information, such as:
    • Required space
    • Last modification
    • Total duration (h:m:s)

Add Resources to the Channel​

  1. In the Resources section, click the Select button.
  2. Press the + button to choose content from the resource library.
  3. On the right, the required space for the added content is displayed.

Associate a Channel with Players​

During creation, you can choose to immediately associate the channel with a specific player:

  1. Go to the Players section and click Select.
  2. Choose the player and the layout zone to assign the channel.
  3. With the Quick Selection function you can paste multiple serial numbers (comma-separated) and simultaneously assign the channels to the corresponding zones.

  • A player can receive multiple channels.
  • Each channel can be assigned to multiple players.

Associate a Schedule with a Channel (optional)​

To assign a schedule to a channel:

  • During the channel creation phase, in Schedule, select Yes.
  • A “Schedule” section will appear above “Resources”.
  • Click Select to view available schedules.
  • Select the schedule.
  • Click Save.

To view the content scheduling for a specific player, go to Scheduling → Calendar.

Advanced Features​

Multiple assignment: assign multiple players to the same channel or multiple channels to the same player simultaneously, optimizing the management of complex networks.
