Introduction to the Queue Management Solution

The Queue Management solution allows you to easily and efficiently manage customer queues in service locations such as:

  • public offices
  • shops
  • information desks
  • receptions
  • support points

The system organizes access to services through numbered tickets and displays queue status on monitors.

Solution Components

The Queue Management solution consists of three main modules:

1. Queue Management Resource

The Queue Management Resource is a configurable resource type within Pharmadigital that allows you to graphically display the queue on a screen.

This resource shows information such as:

  • called numbers
  • active service desks
  • any informational messages

The resource can be inserted into a Digital Signage layout and published on monitors like any other Pharmadigital resource.

2. Controller

The Controller is a web application used to:

  • manage queues
  • configure services
  • manage service desks
  • advance tickets

It is accessible here.

Controller Access

On first access, the application requires the following credentials:

  • Organization
  • Email
  • Password

You must use the same login credentials as Pharmadigital.

Once logged in, the Controller automatically retrieves from Pharmadigital all queues configured as Queue Management resources.

3. Totem

The Totem is the device used by customers to take their ticket.

Through the totem, customers can:

  • select the desired service
  • print the numbered ticket
  • join the corresponding queue

The printed ticket contains the sequential number that will subsequently be called by operators.

How It Works

The Queue Management system follows this workflow:

  1. The customer selects the service on the Totem
  2. A numbered ticket is printed
  3. The ticket enters the service queue
  4. The operator calls the ticket via the Controller
  5. The called number is displayed on the monitor via the Queue Management resource
