Group Management

Groups in Pharmadigital are subsets of users, with their own permissions, that share Players, Resources, and Channels assigned to the group. Each group member can only manage items shared with the group.

note

Only the account administrator can manage user groups.

Creating and Managing a Group

  1. The administrator creates a new group by assigning a name.
  2. Once created, they can add or remove members and assign Players, Resources, and Channels to the group.

Usage Examples

  • The administrator creates some Players and assigns them to a group: members can only view these Players, without editing or deleting them.
  • The administrator creates Channels, assigns them to Players but allows group members to add or remove Resources from the Channels.
  • A Resource can be assigned to multiple groups: members will be able to add it to their Channels but not delete it.
  • The administrator can create a group managing a single store of a chain, assigning different resources and channels according to the needs of each store.

Adding and Removing Users in a Group

  • After creation, the group is visible in the table.
  • From the “Manage” menu, select Add User to add members to the group.
  • While adding users, the administrator can import Players, Channels, and Resources owned by the selected users, which will then be assigned to the group and shared among members.
  • When removing users, the administrator can import the removed users’ items.

Automatic Creation and Sharing

When a group member creates a new Player, Channel, or Resource, it is automatically shared with all other group members.

Assigning Players, Channels, and Resources

  • From the “Manage” menu, you can assign Players, Channels, or Resources to a group.
  • If the group has reserved storage, adding a resource may fail if the required space exceeds the available quota.

Group Storage Quota Management

The administrator can assign a storage quota to one or more groups:

  • If the quota is not set, group members use the main account’s storage space.
  • If the quota is set, members can only use the assigned space.
  • Assigning a quota reduces the available space for the main account by the full quota amount (regardless of how much the group actually uses).
  • A quota can also be set on groups that already have assigned resources, but the minimum value must equal the space already used.

Storage Quota Limitations

  • You cannot assign a quota to groups that already have resources exceeding the available space.
  • You cannot assign a quota to groups that share one or more users with other groups.
  • You cannot assign a quota to a group with at least one member who does not share all their resources.
