HTTP Event
The HTTP event allows a programmed action to be executed when an HTTP request is sent to a specific endpoint provided by Pharmadigital and forwarded to the player.
For this reason, an active Internet connection is always required.
Each event is triggered by a specific action defined in the body of the HTTP request.
- The HTTP request must be of type POST and the body must contain the name of the action to execute.
Usage Examples
This type of event allows third-party systems to interact with the screen without any additional hardware interface or local network connection.
Possible use cases:
- A mobile app can play content on the screen by simply sending an HTTP request, e.g., based on user interaction.
- A facial recognition system can start different content depending on the identified person, by sending the corresponding HTTP request.
