Serial Event
The Serial event specifies the action to perform when the device receives input from the serial port.
Use this section to configure communication via the serial port:
- Port: select the serial port to configure. Most standard serial devices are recognized on port 0 (on model HO523 it will be on port 1).
- Baud rate: set the baud rate for communication.
- Data bits: set the number of data bits.
- Parity: set parity (none, even, odd).
- Stop bits: select the number of stop bits.
- Protocol: choose whether the serial data should be formatted as Binary or ASCII.
- Send EOL: select the end-of-line character when sending data.
- Receive EOL: select the end-of-line character expected when receiving data.
- Invert signals: enable this option to invert TX/RX signal levels.
Note: Configure these parameters correctly to ensure effective communication with external devices. If you don’t know the correct values, consult the documentation of the connected BrightSign device.
