Energy Efficiency (EcoDashboard)
The EcoDashboard feature of Pharmadigital allows you to measure and improve the energy efficiency of your device network.
From the dashboard you can:
- View the network efficiency level through the EcoScore,
- Check which devices support energy efficiency functions,
- Configure display brightness,
- Set usage time (scheduled power on/off).
Access from dashboard → Player → Energy Efficiency.
Main panel
At the top, you’ll find the “Your network’s energy efficiency” box, with a bar ranging from Low to Excellent.
From here you can access two key pieces of information:
-
Discover your EcoScore → shows your score (e.g.: 85/100) and explains that the value is calculated based on how many devices have brightness, usage time, and (when available) data traffic reduction properly configured.
-
Supported devices → summary table of the available functions for each type of player, with any minimum version required.
Available features depend on the device model and the app version. If a device is missing from the list or an icon is not shown, the function is not supported.
Available tools
In the central area you’ll find three boxes (tabs):
- Brightness → Configure (set brightness on supported displays)
- Usage time → Configure / Remove (scheduled on/off)
- Data traffic → Coming soon (designed to limit data traffic and optimize energy consumption)
Below is the step-by-step procedure for the two available tools.
Configuring Brightness
Path: Energy Efficiency → Brightness tab → Configure
Step 1 — Choose the value
Set the desired brightness value using the slider from 0 to 100 (default 50).
For indoor environments, values between 30 and 50 often ensure good readability with reduced consumption.
Click Next.
Step 2 — Select devices
The table “Select the players to apply the selected brightness to” will be displayed.
Here you can:
- Use the search in the top right,
- Sort/show columns,
- Select devices with the checkbox on the left.
The Brightness column shows the value that will be applied (e.g., 40).
Select one or more devices and press Apply.
The setting is sent to the selected devices and, if supported, brightness is updated.
You can repeat the operation at any time to change the value.
Configuring Usage time (scheduled on/off)
Path: Energy Efficiency → Usage time tab → Configure
Step 1 — Introduction
Click Next.
Step 2 — Choose time slots
From the list “Select the time slots to assign” you can view the schedules already created (e.g., Weekday, Weekend) and, for each:
- Active days (Sun–Sat, with ✓),
- Start time and Stop time (e.g., 07:00 → 21:00).
Check one or more slots to apply and press Next.
Create a new time slot (optional)
Click Create (top left) and define:
- Name of the slot (e.g., Store hours).
- Days of validity (e.g., Mon–Fri).
- Start time and Stop time.
Save to add it to the list, then select it.
Step 3 — Assign the slot to devices
From the table “Select the players to assign the selected usage time” with columns Type, Name, Tags, Usage time:
- Select the devices (you can filter or search).
- Verify the slot indicated under Usage time.
- Press Apply.
- To change times/days, repeat the procedure by selecting a different slot and reapply it to the devices.
- From the Usage time box you can use Remove to clear the scheduling from selected devices.
Make sure the date, time, and timezone of the devices are correct: rules and schedules depend on the local clock of the player.
How to improve the EcoScore
- Apply Usage time to all devices where supported.
- Set Brightness to values suited to the environment (lower it during low-traffic hours).
- Keep players updated to the minimum required version to enable features.
- Use tags or filters to quickly apply the same rules to groups of players.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do the settings apply immediately?
Yes, as soon as the device receives the configuration and if the function is supported.
What happens if I apply multiple time slots to one device?
The device will follow the most recently assigned slot. Keep a clean set of rules to avoid overlaps.
Can I set different brightness values for groups of displays?
Yes. Run the Brightness procedure multiple times, selecting the desired groups and value each time.
