SyncPool

info

The SyncPool mode is not a separate player, but an advanced mode available exclusively for BrightSign players on Pharmadigital.

What is SyncPool mode

The SyncPool mode allows you to synchronize content playback across multiple BrightSign players so that all advance to the next contents in perfectly coordinated fashion.

A SyncPool object contains the list of BrightSign players to be synchronized; one of them is designated as the master.
Each time the master player finishes playing a content, it sends an event to the other members of the SyncPool (slaves), which then immediately advance to the next content.

  • Synchronization works only with images and videos.
  • Upon receiving the sync event, the slave players immediately stop the current content and move to the next.

Example use case

  • The master player displays a video.
  • The other BrightSign players (slaves) display images related to that video.
  • When the video ends, all synchronized players advance together: the master starts the next video, while the slaves show the new related images.

Important notes

info

All BrightSign players within the same SyncPool must run the same firmware version to ensure proper synchronization.
