Application Startup
On startup, the Totem contacts the server to retrieve its configuration. The behavior depends on the state of the device.
First boot — pairing screen
If the device has not yet been paired to any account, the Totem automatically registers with the server and displays a pairing screen showing a pairing code.
This code must be entered by the administrator in the Pharmadigital web dashboard to link the device to the account and configure it.
The Totem remains on the pairing screen until the pairing is completed.
The pairing code is single-use. Once pairing is complete, the Totem automatically receives its configuration and switches to operating mode.
Normal startup — operating mode
If the device has already been paired and configured, the Totem retrieves its configuration from the server on startup and immediately displays the queue grid available to users.

The queues displayed by the Totem are configured by the administrator in the Pharmadigital web dashboard and are updated in real time without restarting the application.
