Overview

The Totem is the application used by customers to take a ticket and join a service queue.

The application is available for Android devices and can be installed by downloading the app from the link provided by the system administrator.

The Totem allows you to:

  • view available services
  • print the ticket to join the queue.

Configuration model​

The Totem uses a server-driven model: configuration (available queues, theme, layout) is managed centrally by the administrator in the Pharmadigital web dashboard and applied to the device in real time.

The initial setup process is:

  1. The device starts up and automatically registers with the server
  2. A pairing code is displayed on the Totem screen
  3. The administrator enters the code in the web dashboard to pair the device
  4. The Totem receives its configuration and switches to operating mode.

After pairing, any configuration changes made in the web dashboard are pushed to the device in real time, with no restart required.

Application Installation​

The Queue Management Totem application is available for Android devices.

It can be installed by directly downloading the APK file from the following link:

Once the file is downloaded:

  1. transfer the APK to the Android device
  2. open the file to start the installation
  3. follow the instructions shown by the system.
System Requirements

The Queue Management Totem application requires Android 8.0 (Oreo) or later.

To install the app, you may need to enable the Install from unknown sources option in the Android device settings.
