Browser configuration

This guide helps you configure the main browsers (Edge and Chrome) to allow the automatic playback of video content on the web version of the Pharmadigital player.

Microsoft Edge (Windows)​

1. Installation and first access​

  • Install the latest version of Microsoft Edge.
  • Open the link.
  • When prompted, allow the browser to save files.

2. Disable the autoplay policy​

  1. Open Edge.
  2. Go to Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Media autoplay.
  3. Set “Control if audio and video play automatically on sites” to Allow.
tip

Alternatively, you can directly add https://play.pharmadigital.com to the list of allowed sites.

Google Chrome (Windows)​

1. Installation and first access​

  • Install the latest version of Google Chrome or Chromium.
  • Open the link.
  • When prompted, allow the browser to save files.

2. Disable the autoplay policy​

In recent versions of Chrome, the Autoplay Policy prevents videos from starting automatically. You can solve this in two ways:

  • Method 1 (recommended): download and run the provided configuration file.
  • Method 2 (manual): add the following text to the Target field in the Chrome shortcut: --autoplay-policy=no-user-gesture-required

Google Chrome (macOS)​

1. Installation and first access​

  • Install the latest version of Google Chrome or Chromium.
  • Open the link.
  • When prompted, allow the browser to save files.

2. Disable the autoplay policy​

  1. Open Chrome.
  2. Go to Settings → Privacy and security.
  3. In the Permissions section, set Sound to Allow.
