Installation on Sony Bravia
This guide walks you step by step through the activation of the Pharmadigital player on Sony Bravia displays, without the need to manually install APKs or use USB drives.
1. Preliminary Checks
Before installation, verify:
- Internet connection: make sure the device can access the network with the correct configuration (Ethernet or Wi-Fi, proxy if needed).
- Android version: must be 7.1 or later.
- Existing configurations: ensure there are no previous settings and, if necessary, perform a factory reset of the display.
Note: The APK installation is performed automatically during player activation (Zero Touch Provisioning). Follow the step-by-step instructions in the next sections.
2. Activating the Player from the Dashboard
- Log in to the Pharmadigital dashboard.
- From the top menu, go to Players → Manage.
- Click the Player/Activate button.
- Select Sony Bravia as the device type.
- Choose Serial Number as the activation method and enter the display’s serial number.
- Fill in the required fields and click Save.
3. Registration and Zero Touch Provisioning
- Enter the MAC address of the Sony Bravia display.
- Click Register to start the automatic provisioning procedure.
- After a few seconds, a QR code will appear on the display.
- If the QR code does not appear after a few minutes, restart the display using the remote control power button.
- Enter the numeric code displayed below the QR code in the corresponding field in the dashboard, then click Next.
- Wait for the display to complete the configuration:
- This may take a few minutes.
- Do not close the browser or change the page until the installation result is shown.
4. Finalization
- Once the procedure is complete, the Sony Bravia display will be correctly associated with the Pharmadigital dashboard and ready for use.
- If any issues occur or the QR code does not appear, make sure the display is connected to the internet and repeat the restart.
Troubleshooting
- QR code not displayed:
- Check the network connection.
- Restart the display using the remote control.
- Activation or provisioning issues:
- Double-check that the serial number and MAC address entered are correct.
- Wait a few minutes before retrying the procedure.
