Player Preview
The preview function allows you to view in real time what is being played on each Pharmadigital player, directly through the browser, without the need for additional software.
How it works
- The preview uses the browser’s graphics engine to emulate the player’s behavior and display a faithful preview of the contents (images, videos, news, weather, etc.).
- When the preview is opened, the browser downloads all media contents and also requests real-time feeds (weather, news, RSS, etc.): initialization may take a few seconds, and the screen may remain black in the meantime.
- The preview is available only for a limited time: once expired, an expiration message is displayed, and the session closes automatically.
- If the player’s license has expired, the preview function will not be available.
- Note: the preview is not available for BrightSign players, as their graphics engine cannot be simulated in the browser.
How to access the preview
- Log in to the dashboard.
- Go to Players → Manage.
- In the list of registered devices, select the desired player.
- Click the preview icon or the Preview option to start the visualization.

During preview, loading may take a few seconds depending on the network speed and player settings.
Requirements and limitations
- The preview function is available on all devices running Pharmadigital version 4.2.0 or higher.
- Make sure the player is online and properly configured.
- Some device models or corporate networks may restrict functionality for security/firewall reasons.
- BrightSign players not supported.
Troubleshooting
- Black screen or no preview: Wait a few seconds for all contents to load. Also check the network connection.
- Preview not available: Verify the validity of the player license and that the device is online on the dashboard.
- Preview slow or not updating: This depends on the quality of the connection or the performance of the device.
